General Information
All of our puppies will be within good health, have a veterinary examination, and all vaccinations/worming up to date for 8 weeks of age. The puppies are weaned and will be trained to eat dry/moist puppy food and have began drinking water by 8 weeks of age. They will be healthy, well-fed and hydrated!
All pups by the 8 weeks of age will have their first set of vaccinations and three worming treatments. After the owner picks up their puppy it is recommended for them to make a 9 week appointment with their local veterinary clinic for their next round of vaccinations, a general checkup, and another worming treatment. We provide a puppy care form with all of your puppy's medical history that you can share with your vet. Our veterinarian gives our puppies a physical exam. This includes checking to see if there is no heart murmur or lung/breathing issues, teeth and gums are in good condition, and they make sure they do not see a cleft palate. They check the weight of the puppies to make sure they are healthy. They get an overall physical exam. We want our puppies to be healthy! The puppies have their rear dewclaws removed and their tails docked within the first three days of being born. The puppies will not have their ears cropped. We choose not to do this. |
We take our pups to Carlyle Animal Hospital in Carlyle, Illinois for these procedures and general health check ups. Dr. Scott, our veterinarian is a proud miniature schnauzer owner as well.

We begin socialization with our puppies. Miniature Schnauzers love attention (especially puppies)! We are in-home breeders, so our puppies are home raised. We try to spend quality time with our puppies, they love attention especially as they grow older. We have a toddler at home that loves to interact with them as well. Exposing your puppy to different age groups, human contact, different dogs and other pets will help their temperament and future socialization.
Every pet owner will receive a puppy care form. This form has the medical history you will share with your vet, their feeding habits and grooming instructions.
Each owner will also receive a puppy registration application. The owner is responsible for sending this paperwork off to receive your puppy's registration and birth certificate.
Additional to the puppy care form and registration paperwork, we provide a healthy supply of their current puppy food, a stuffed toy with the scent of their mother and siblings/litter, a dog brush, one raw-hide treat, & one small roll of dog waste bags (puppies will poop!)
Each pet owner will receive a folder with all their paperwork and general information

Travel
We will drive locally (within reasonable distance) to meet pet owners at a convenient location. If a pet owner would like us to drive a long distance we ask that fuel expenses be covered. This can be negotiated with the pet owner based on distance of travel.
